STATEMENT OF OPERATING
West Mersea Town Council is operating a full service by email and telephone. Our working hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. Outside these times you can leave a telephone message on 01206 382128 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for them to be reviewed the next working day.
The office is currently open on Friday mornings from 9am to 12pm to sell food waste bags and dog poop bags only.
If you would like to buy food waste bags (£1 for 26) or dog poop bags (£1.50 for 100), please knock on the door, have the correct money and wear a face mask. Please stay outside when we unlock the door and put the correct money in the container.
We are unable to deal with face to face enquiries at present. Thank you for helping us keep our staff safe so that we can remain open.
Toilets, car parks and play parks have all reopened and we ask your cooperation with social distancing and consideration to others.
The hotline service closed on 31 July 2020. However, if you are unable to leave your home to collect shopping, please let us know and we will put you in touch with local community groups.
The meals service operated in conjunction with Essex County Council and Essex Outdoors Mersea closed on 31 July 2020. However, there are some local businesses now operating a meals delivery service. Please contact us for their details.
