SATURDAY 4TH DECEMBER

Mersea Lights Up
Time: 10am until late.
Christmas Lights will be switched on at 5.30pm.
A whole day of family fun around the island.
There will be entertainment based outside the MICA throughout the day, singing, dancing and a free circus skills workshop, that all ages can join in with, plus a live fire show performance before the Christmas parade starts. The parade will be going around the island.
There will be rides and stalls which will be based along the High Street as well as more stalls in the main hall at the MICA.

Elf on the Shelf Scavenger Hunt is returning, 10 naughty elves will be in 10 shop windows around the island, for you to find and win a prize. Plus, Santa will be in his grotto with his presents to give out.
Over 30 businesses on Mersea Island have entered the Mersea Lights Up Best Dressed Window Competition 2021. Last year was a great success with the winner being Mansion House Florist. The runner up was The Blackwater Pearl. 
The theme this year is Christmas Past, Present or Future. The prizes for this year's winner and runner up have kindly been donated by The Coast Inn and Dukes Seafood.

Best Dressed Elf Competition this year, is for all ages and the best elf will be turning on the Mersea Christmas Lights this year.

SATURDAY 11TH DECEMBER

Home Alone Collection
The Mersea Island Lions collect donations to go towards the meals supplied to individuals who are Home Alone on Christmas Day. The donations pay for a Christmas dinner and pudding which is delivered by volunteers on Christmas Day.
Collections will be taking place outside the Coop, Tesco and Post Office corner.
